Half and One-Day Field Trips, On-Site Visits
AIB conducts half-day or one-day excursions and on-site visits to give students a deeper insight into a certain subject. At the beginning of each program we emphasize cultural sights, e.g. an excursion on the river Rhine or a sightseeing tour through the city of Cologne. These shorter excursions help students to become familiar with their new surroundings and orient themselves to the region and environment. The activities are part of the first steps students take to transform from tourist to local resident.

Longer Excursions
Current semester programs also incorporate a one-week excursion to Berlin and Prague. Students visit different locations of interest, participate in guided tours, or attend presentations by distinguished speakers depending on the season and event opportunities. The travel and excursion schedules are carefully planned and designed in cooperation with the student’s home institution to enhance the special curriculum of each program.
